This is going to be a niche post with some keyword stuffing to help out the next person. If you happen to have a bricked Favero Assioma MX power pedal, that won’t turn on, these are the instructions from their customer support that worked for me.

I had opened up the pedals and installed the app and detected the pedals with no problem. Brand new pedals unsurprisingly had a firmware upgrade so I kicked that off. Halfway through, my app crashed. The pedals then were bricked and wouldn’t turn on, be detected by the app – dead in the water.

So, I emailed their customer support and the next day got this response:

  • Connect the magnetic connector to the battery charger to verify if the red light on the connector turns on;
  • Keeping the magnetic connector attached to the cable, connect/disconnect it to the sensor very fast (about two times per second), for roughly 5-10 seconds;
  • Normally, when the firmware restart process is activated, the red LED should restart blinking after 60 seconds.

This worked on the first try and my pedal immediately turned back on, and I could then pair it to the app again.
