Well it appears that newegg.com has gotten in their inventory of the new ASUS Eee PC. This thing is sweet, but a little pricy for what you are getting.
The main draw of this is that it has no moving parts and it is TINY. The official specs are ‘8.86" x 6.30" x 0.79-1.26" ’ which means that you are looking at a laptop that would fit within a sheet of notebook paper with a lot of room to spare. And Ubuntu 7.10 has been reported to run just fine on it, but I think if I got it I would go with its standard Xandros install, or put Puppy on it since at only 4Gb, hard drive space is at a premium.
If this thing comes down in a price in a few months, you just might see me sporting one.
